Deep Tech Centre
Scientists and companies in Iceland have called for better research infrastructure and equipment. The Deep Tech Centre will improve these facilities while creating unparalleled conditions for interdisciplinary research and co-operation with businesses, big and small. Entrepreneurs will have much better access to high-tech machinery for research, development and prototyping.
From Knowlege to Value
The Science Park has research institutions, over 500 student apartments, a number of start-up companies and a few larger IT and biotech companies. In the future, we are looking to bring in companies in the energy and sustainability sectors. All of us work together to transform knowledge into value for the country and the people.
Innovation Community
Mýrin, our Innovation Centre, is home to numerous start-ups, clusters and enterprising individuals. New ideas are born there every week. Get in touch if you need space to work on your own idea.
Culture and Nature
The Science Park is just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of Reykjavík’s city centre and teeming with all the life and culture that comes with a vibrant university community. Both the natural paradise of Öskjuhlíð park and the seaside are just a short walk away, and the bird sanctuary in Vatnsmýri is a real oasis in the city.
The Science Park area is under development. Numerous houses are built, design for the Deep Tech Centre is underway and we are looking for core leaseholders for Viska. A few plots are still available to be leased.
